Ember Locke Aparthotel in Kensington opens its doors
It is such a unique property with so much thought and design weaved into every space, all inspired by the decadence of Kensington's history and culture.
Patterned textiles and tiles, velvet and tassles trimmings, ochre, green and coral colour schemes, brass fittings, potted plants and ferns, all fill the rooms and common areas. The rooms range from studios to one bedroom units and overlook either the main Cromwell road or the garden at the back.
Self-catering facilities are available in almost all room types and beds make the most of space with under-bed storage. Turnable mirrors have iron and ironing boards neatly hidden away from sight, another clever use of space. There are SMART TVs and luxury toiletries in the bathrooms too.
You never have to leave the building too if you don't fancy it, with a trendy coffee house (opening soon), a restaurant (opening soon), cocktail bar, conservatory-style co-working space and large (and unbelievably quiet) back garden complete with a teepee.
