Serviced Apartment Review - Dolphin House Apartments
The Dolphin House serviced apartments were one of the first properties to join the Check-in-London portfolio and after all these years, it is still quite unique in many ways and a great option for any London stay.
Our recent tour took us around the Dolphin Square's on-site facilities and its 1 and 2 bedroom apartments.

From the moment you walk in, you are welcomed by a bright and spacious 24 hour reception area with access to the lifts, meeting rooms, the shopping arcade, the Dolphin Bar & Grill Restaurant, the Moroccan spa and a gymnasium.
You've got access to a fantastic line up of hotel-style facilities and these services are popular with the locals as much as they are with in-house guests.
The apartments are neatly presented, fully furnished with contemporary colour schemes and and cleaned weekly by housekeeping.
They face the street or the internal courtyard which is quite impressive and immaculately kept.
Soft and comfy sofas are there to rest and relax and there's a dining table and chairs to sit and have an a meal. An LCD flatscreen TV with freeview channels is also set up for you to enjoy at your leisure.
The beds are some of the most comfortable ones we have seen, and we are not just saying this.
They are made up of King size Hynos pocket-sprung mattresses, covered in fine Egyptian cotton percale bed linen and topped up by duck down and feather duvets.
They can also be converted into twin bed arrangements.
No wonder our guests are always saying they had a great night's sleep.
Aside from the luxury beds, the bedrooms usually have a practical work desk where you can set up a laptop, bedside tables with stylish bedside lamps, fitted wardrobes that have spare towels and a safe.
The tenant handbook is very useful with lots of information about the building, the complex and the local area and includes a welcome note from the general manager.
Some apartments have extra storage. Usually this space would be used for suitcases, spare fans, irons or other appliances.
The bathrooms are very modern, fully tiled with either a bathtub and a separate shower, a walk-in shower or a bathtub and combined shower.
Also provided are 600 gram cotton towels and complimentary toiletries on arrival.
The kitchenettes have a range of appliances for self-catering including a microwave, a 2 ring electric hob, an oven (in some apartments) a kettle, an under-the-counter refrigerator, cutlery and crockery, glassware, washing up liquid and a washing machine (in some apartments)
As it is a professionally managed block you will see emergency procedures clearly marked around the apartment for your safety.
We walk past the electric purple on-site swimming pool. Its a good size and did not seem very crowded either.
The Dolphin Bar and Grill restaurant overlooks the swimming pool and is great for a quick bite, meeting or if you are feeling lazy to head into town for a meal.
Then we arrive at the gym. This is fully equipped space with a wide range of exercising gear and a jammed pack schedule of classes.
There's also access to squash courts and tennis courts (off-site)
In terms of public transport and accessibility, less than 7 minutes' walk away is Pimlico tube station which has the Victoria line (one stop to Victoria, two stops to Oxford Circus)
Just around the corner is a nice line up of local amenities, cafes, and pubs on Lupus Road that you may want to explore.
You can even make your way down to Victoria where you will find a multitude of shopping centres like Cardinal Place buzzing with, restaurants, bars, theatre and other entertainment.
You can also easily walk to the River Thames or Tate Britain from this location.
We would highly recommend this property for short stays upto 90 nights.
