Things to do with Dad this Father's Day in London

Father's Day is all about showing our pops just how special they are to us and if you are in London or bringing your old man over for a weekend break, there are plenty of ways to wow him from booze to barbers.

We've put together some ideas for you of our favourites...

For Dads that love booze
If your dad loves a tipple, be it a craft beer or fancy wine, London has plenty to choose from. We'd recommend taking him on the Fuller's Griffin Brewery tour which dates back to 1828 or Crate Brewery where you sample great craft beers paired with yummy "Delicatessen" sharing platters. For something a bit more sophisticated try The Gilbert Scott - setting the scene for an elegant evening with polished marble bars, an extensive wine list and brassy interiors - or Gordon's - a family run wine institution that's been around since 1890 with cave-style seating and a mysterious atmosphere.

For Dads that love pampering
For a shave Dad won't forget, try Murdocks, quintessentially British grooming for the dapper gents with four stores in the city. You can even enjoy a glass of bubbly during your shave!
Or maybe a rejuvenating massage to refresh dad after some of those long days in the office. Try The Spa at Dolphin House for the best authentic Moroccan rituals or relieve stressful areas or any aches and pains with their fabulous treatments incorporating warm Lava Shells and cool Glacial Shells.

For Dads that love sports
How about some golf? You'd be surprised at the number of golf courses in and around London. If you want to stay more central head to Finchley Golf Club - 18-hole parkland course with some stunning landscaped gardens - or the Grove - a welcoming luxury golf course with a hotel and spa in the heart of the English countryside and famous for having hosted Mr. Obama himself.

For Dads that love good food
A good hearty Sunday Roast is surely the way to any Dad's heart and soul this Father's Day. Whether you plan to splash the cash or not, there's plenty of options across the city to enjoy a good roast. Try Dean Street Townhouse in Soho - great British food perfectly presented in a unfussy surrounding - The Harwood Arms - London's first and only Michelin-starred pub (need we say more) - Hawksmoor - a popular chain with impressive attention to detail when it comes to its roast dinners and bone marrow gravy - The Duke of Wellington - One of central London's best gastropubs with melty meats and ravishing roasties as well as many homemade condiments that perfectly finish off its stellar roast.

For Dad's that love cars
We think that a visit to the Brooklands Museum in Weybridge would bring a big smile to your old pops face if he is into cars. It's the birthplace of the British Motorsport and Aviation and displays a wide range of exhibits ranging from racing cars to war automobiles and highlighting the achievements of the  motoring industry all the way back to 1907.

We've also some fantastic London serviced apartment deals for Father's Day so please get in touch for the best rates and availability for your stay.
