Best Summer Camps for Kids




Summer is on its way and it's time to sort out how to keep the kids entertained for the couple of months while school is out. Whether you are in London for a short stay in one of our holiday apartments London or you just want to keep the kids active (both in body and mind) during the summer, we have gathered a list of the best Summer camps for kids in London and in the surrounding areas...



Camp Beaumont


These summer camps operate from a number of venues in London and specialise in outdoor activities and indoor sports such as aeroball, archery, swimming, drum beat, quad biking, tennis and a climbing wall. Children attending this camp will never be bored as they have the oppurtunity to try up to six activities per day ensuring a jam-packed schedule! Every age is catered to here, from tiny tots to energetic teens. XUK Day Camp


These Summer day camps have been running for 17 years and are based in three different areas of North London; Cross Keys (4-13 year olds) in East Finchley, Mini Minors (3-6 year olds) in NW11 and XUK Day (7-13 year olds) in Hampstead. Each summer camp provides activities tailored to every age group and activities range from tennis and basketball to contemporary dance, singing workshops and origami.

Team Camp


The Team Camp Summer school is located in Parliament Hill School near the scenic Hampstead Heath and offers a full schedule of 'Action, Drama and Life-skills'. This camp is team focussed and each team of six has a mentor who will guide the children through the day's activities including sports, yoga, creative writing and team games. This camp encompasses building self-esteem with team building exercises along with more creative enterprises such as masterclasses in acting and drama games.

Met Film School Rugby School 


For a specialist type of Summer camp for older children and teenagers, try the Met Film School Summer Camp in Warwickshire. The Met Film School is based in Ealing Studios in West London but their Summer camp takes place in Rugby School (one of the UK's oldest boarding schools) in Warwickshire for two weeks during July and August. Kids will immerse themselves in the world of film with the latest technology and support from industry professionals. Boarding is required as this is a short camp and food is provided in the school's dining hall.

The Bushcraft Company Summer Camp


Taking place on a 3,000 acre private estate in Oxfordshire, this is one for the outdoorsy kids with a burgeoning sense of adventure. Large bell tents mix with canopies and campfires, and activities range from tree climbing to swimming to games by the camp fire. Meals are freshly prepared on site and kids even have the oppurtunity to hark back to their ancient ancestors by cooking their own lunch over a fire.
