Borough Market at London Bridge

Borough Market is one of those true London gems that are absolutely not worth a miss and one we always recommend to clients that we place in London serviced apartments. Stemming from the south end of London Bridge, the market sits tucked away beneath the rumbling of the passing overground trains from London Bridge station. As one of London's oldest markets dating back to Roman times, its not surprising to see why it is so popular with tourists and locals alike. Fresh produce like fish, meats, vegetables, ciders, cheeses, breads, coffees, cakes and patisseries are sold by the dozen by market veteran stall holders who have been trading here for generations.

Changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace

The Changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace has always been one of the top things to see when you visit the Capital. As you crowd around the Palace gates and wait patiently for what was is actually Guard Mounting, but is put on display in true British Pomp & Ceremony for our viewing pleasure.

Changing the Guard or Guard Mounting is the process involving a new guard exchanging duty with the old guard. The Guard that looks after Buckingham Palace is called The Queen's Guard and is divided into two Detachments: the Buckingham Palace Detachment (responsible for guarding Buckingham Palace), and the St. James's Palace Detachment, (responsible for guarding St. James's Palace).

Serviced Apartments with Parking

For most visitors, London's many forms of public transport make it very convenient to travel around the city and visit places, however if you prefer to drive, then its a good idea to consider finding a parking spot first.

There are many ways to park a car in London. You can often find parking on the side of the road in allocated parking bays with parking meters or in public car parks that are generally marked by signposts with a white 'P' on a blue background often found near railway stations and public spaces. There are also private car parks such as the NCP or Union Car Park that offer multi-story car parks, however these can be fairly expensive.
